Going green is increasingly popular as a way to reduce energy use, conserve water, and recycle and reuse materials to avoid overburdening local landfills. Here are five tips on how not to go green.

1) Keep burning incandescent light bulbs. They are only about 5% efficient in creating lights, releasing 95% of the energy they consume as heat.
